Due to the forecast of dangerously cold temperatures, a multi-day Code Blue Emergency has been declared for Montgomery County, PA.The Norristown Hospitality Center will be operating a 25 bed Code Blue Shelter at St John's Church at Diocesan Center in the same location as the Cecil and Grace Bean's Soup Kitchen (520 Church Street in Norristown).DINNER NEEDS - We are looking for volunteers to provide a dinner for our 25 guests on Friday night. If you are interested in providing a meal, please email Matt Kirsch ([email protected]) so that he can coordinate the dinners.
Montgomery County, PA has declared a multi-day #CodeBlue Emergency declaration for Wednesday, February 28th through Friday, March 1st.The Norristown Hospitality Center will be operating a 25 bed Code Blue Shelter at St John's Church at Diocesan Center in the same location as the Cecil and Grace Bean's Soup Kitchen (520 Church Street in Norristown). The shelter will open at 8:00 PM and close at 6:30 AM during the emergency declaration. We have been filling to capacity, so if you need shelter, please get there early to ensure space is available.DINNER NEEDS - Dinner for Wednesday and Thursday nights have been covered, however we are looking for volunteers to provide a dinner for our 25 guests on Friday night. Last week, the Norristown Hospitality Center hosted an ARIZE workshop. The ARIZE program brings confidence & financial self-sufficiency to participants through education, coaching, & support at every step. Employment stability serves as the base from participants will build momentum towards their aspirations.Thank you to the staff, volunteers, and participants for making the workshop so successful! We had a wonderful group from Congregation Or Ami, Lafayette Hill, PA provide lunch to the guests of the Norristown Hospitality Center today! Thank you for your support of our guests, and for providing such a wonderful lunch!
