Donated Casseroles are the “Main Course” of a complete, hot meal that we serve to hundreds of individuals who rely on the Norristown Hospitality Center’s Code Blue shelter.
Please don’t feel restricted to using only these recipes from our site. Your favorite recipes are welcome.
Please use standard “half trays”. Each casserole serves 6-9 people. We generally serve 3 casseroles per night.
Here are other useful hints:
- Casseroles can be dropped off to the Norristown Hospitality Center (530 Church Street in Norristown) on weekdays between 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
- Casseroles may also be dropped off to our Code Blue shelter on declared Code Blue emergency nights after 7:00 PM. The Code Blue Shelter is located at St. John’s Church at Diocesan Center within the Cecil and Grace Bean’s Soup Kitchen. Please check the Hospitality Center’s Facebook page to see if a Code Blue has been declared.
- Casseroles are accepted from October through mid-March
- Please deliver casseroles frozen.
- Please mark the lid with the main ingredients and date you prepared your casserole. Please designate if you substitute pork products, or if you add nuts in any recipe.
- Please email [email protected] with questions.
We thank every casserole maker for the generosity and love that goes into each meal.
