Will you join other dedicated individuals from across the region to raise awareness and to raise critical funds to help our neighbors who are living on the streets in our community?
Will you give up your bed for one night in solidarity with those who spend every night without a home?
During the 2025 Point-in-Time Count of homelessness, more than 534 individuals were found to be without a home in Montgomery County. The Norristown Hospitality Center has been working for over 30 years to provide Care, Comfort and Compassion to our neighbors who are living on the street. The Center’s unique approach combines basic needs services while also providing social services to support our neighbors who are most in need. The Center’s staff and volunteers are working every day to directly meet the needs of this vulnerable population.
The Sleep Out is impactful. It’s safe. It makes a real difference. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to sleep on the steps of the Montgomery County Courthouse in Norristown, PA during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.
>Who?
Anyone over the age of 18 is invited to join us in person for the “One Night Without a Home” Sleep Out.
Those who are under 18 may register participate with their school, faith community, or their family.
If you can’t sleep outside, perhaps you can sleep on the floor. The idea is that being uncomfortable is part of the daily experiences of our homeless neighbors.
>What?
The “One Night Without a Home” Sleep Out is an opportunity to show support for our neighbors who live on the street. There will be a rally, speakers, a prayer candle vigil, and a solidarity sleep-out. We will join together to create awareness and, through our peer-to-peer fundraising campaign, raise money that will directly impact Norristown area homeless population.
Once you are registered, information will be provided about the event and how to set up a peer-to-peer fundraising account to raise awareness and funds to support those who are experiencing homelessness.
